Jeremy Babikow began lampworking in March of 2003, apprenticing with a local glass artist. He has mostly learned in the folk tradition, learning what he can from other artists, and his own experimentation. His work covers a broad spectrum; beautiful and elegant, creepy and grotesque, light hearted, fun and funky. Things that influence his work are: his life long interest in reptiles, amphibians and the natural world in general, his passion for music (particularly jazz and rock) and what ever he may find beautiful, disturbing, or funny in modern culture.
